BCS Model 739 walk-behind tractor

(Shown with 26” tiller implement)

This model is the largest of the “small gearbox” BCS tractors. Compared to the 732, it offers the following additional features:

  • An extra “working” speed (but no “transport” speed)
  • A larger engine and larger standard wheel size
  • This model has the PowerSafe Hyrdo-mechanical “wet” clutch
  • This model has a parking brake (NOTE: these are NOT independent “steering” brakes)

When compared to the BCS 749/852/853 models, the lower power and lack of steering brakes means that our recommended implement selection for the 739 is somewhat reduced compared to those models, but it will handle more implements than the model 732. The handlebars are also shorter than on the 749/852/853 series, so you do not have as much “leverage” to handle heavy implements on the 739. (Also, please note that because of the gearbox housing on this model being shorter in length than the 749/852/853, running larger wheels [such as 5x12x22”] is questionable on this model, as the one wheel will be VERY CLOSE to the engine muffler.)

Comparable model in Grillo brand tractor: G107d (except that the G107 DOES have independent steering brakes…the 739 does not).
